My nine-year-old daughter has been looking forward to using an old point and shoot camera she inherited from us. So, on a trip to Joshua Tree National Park last month, she was excited to take some pictures of the Joshua trees and the huge boulders that were found everywhere in this park. Here are a couple of pictures she took from our day trip.

Tell her that she did an excellent job of framing her pics – very nice! :)
Thank you for the kind words Lisa. She had a photography project a few months ago and learned about its different elements. So she learned quite a bit on framing.
Yay – thanks for linking up! These pictures are fantastic!
No problem and thanks for hosting. Glad you liked them and this is a great way to see pictures from our kids’ perspective.
What great framing! There seems to be some talent here!
Thanks Andrew! She likes to follow us around when taking pictures and also learned about framing for a school project.
I don’t have kids but when I travel sometimes I find kids who want to use my camera, I am always amazed at what they capture.
Thanks for stopping by Ayngelina. What a great idea to share your camera with kids during your travels. I love looking at my kids’ pictures since it provides such a different perspective. Luckily, they’ve moved beyond taking pictures of their feet and faces.
Great pictures! We’re hoping to explore Joshua Tree NP soon. Your blog is such a fantastic resource for people like us who are new to the western half of the US. :)
Thank you Sarah! I’m glad you find it helpful and enjoy Joshua Tree NP.
Cute photos! I love seeing what other people take. I always find it interesting especially when you give kids cameras… Often I’m so surprised at what they decide to take photos of.
Thanks Anwar! My kids take some random shots and once in awhile have some great surprises of things I would have never noticed.
